Hearts for Hope - 2012

Press Release: March 29, 2012 – The Incarnation Children’s Center (ICC), New York City’s only skilled nursing facility providing specialized care for children and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS held their fourth annual fundraiser, “Hearts for Hope,” at the Prince George Ballroom on Thursday, March 29, 2012.


“Hearts for Hope” is an annual fundraising event and is host to an exclusive array of silent auction items donated from top-end companies and organizations such as Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren,and the Tribeca Film Festival. The event was designed and planned by generous donors such as event planner, Floris Special Events, caterer, Olivier Cheng and florist, Preston Bailey.


ICC was pleased to announce Ken Rosato, anchor at WABC-TV, as Master of Ceremonies for the evening’s event. His Eminence, Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan attended as ICC’s distinguished guest. The honorees for the evening included Jack Rudin of Rudin Management Company, Inc., Dr. Margaret Heagarty, Professor of Pediatrics, Emerita at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, Sister Una McCormack of the Dominican convent, former executive director of Catholic Home Bureau, and Msgr. Thomas Leonard of Holy Trinity Church on the Upper West Side.


“We are grateful to everyone for their outpouring of support,” said Carolyn Castro, Executive Director. “The generosity of so many people provide for a forgotten population in need.”


The benefit was a huge success, with a packed room of guests who wandered amidst the fabulous silent auction, amazing raffle, table full of scrumptious desserts and creative décor that transformed the Prince George Ballroom into a truly phenomenal event.
