Social Work

Specialized Programs Serving Children & Adolescents

While the reason children are admitted to the Center is because they are in need of medical care and treatment, many have been exposed to various social problems that contribute to the need for inpatient treatment. Many of the children are from impoverished communities with poor access to social services and many children are from families where there is substance abuse, mental illness, physical abuse and neglect.
